Chapter 1359: His eyes flicked to a second-floor room at the corner. The window was slightly ajar. Javier was at the company, and Amoura had hopped in a cab after leaving the café. It was unlikely she would be back anytsoon.

After a moment of consideration, Raymond made his way towards the main house, nodding curtly at the staff members he passed.

He stepped into the house and headed straight for the stairs, each step measured. The silence in the house was heavy, broken only by the sound of his own footsteps and the frantic thumping of his heart.

The moment he set foot on the second floor, he reached into his pocket. But before he could pull anything out, two figures materialized in front of him.

Two bodyguards with faces as hard as stone stared him down with suspicion in their eyes. They were both dressed in sharp suits.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" one barked.

"And what's that in your hand? Out with it!" The other's voice was just as loud and demanding.

Raymond tried to stay calm. "Nothing, really," he said. "Just wanted to drop something off in Mrs. Deleon's room." One of the bodyguards held out his hand. "And what would that be? You can hand it to me." Their eyes met. Raymond knew he was outnumbered. He wasn't foolish enough to start a fight he couldn't win. The tales you love are at gvlnovls"Just the car key," Raymond explained. "She always makesgive it to her when I get back. Since she's not around, I figured-" He didn't get a chance to finish. The bodyguard snatched the key right out of his hand.

"You can leave now," the bodyguard said coldly.

Raymond nodded, spun around, and practically flew down the stairs. Back in his room, he slammed his fist against the air a few times before finally managing to calm himself.

Eileen was surprised that Phoebe had managed to find out so much about Barry so quickly.

"This guy's a nobody. He started with nothing, had a rough life, and built himself up. Now, he's just sfreelancer. He's not a bad guy and hasn't done anything to Milford, but Milford's got brains... It's a shhe's wasting his tworking for Barry," Phoebe said.

Eileen knew Milford was a sharp kid. With his intelligence, he could be closing deals left and right, raking in millions in sfancy office. Sticking with Barry and his measly construction gigs was indeed a waste of Milford's potential.

"Keep an eye out for any construction projects coming from the Meyer family or the EB Group. If they need anything done, let Barry have the job," Eileen said.

Barry's small business could really take off in the future. And with m Milford's smarts, he could make a real nfor himself.
