Elwood recoiled, palms raised in surrender. “Fine, | will not touch you. Just calm down, alright?” His voice
softened.
“Leave.” After calming down, Carola once again asked him to leave.
Elwood’s gaze lingered on her for a while. His jaw tightened, and after a moment, he rose from the chair. “Alright,
| am leaving,” he said.
With that, he pressed his lips into a thin line and strode toward the door.

He did not leave the hospital. Instead, his feet carried him to the Cardiac Surgery Department. Confusion swirled
in his mind as he stepped out of the elevator, his brow furrowing. He couldn't even understand why he had come
here.
