Chapter 1417 Joe was about to open the iron door when Jordan spoke up. "Hold on." Joe froze, his hand still on the door.
Jordan stepped forward and explained, "The residents of the place may be gone, but their security is still top- notch. If this door gets forced open, it'll trigger the alarm system and the traps inside. Things will get very tricky." He faced the scanner and input the password. Although he had deflected, his data was still in the system. This door could not stop him.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJeffrey, who had been worried about traps, finally relaxed. After all, with security like this, anyone who tried to force their way in would not end well.
Once the door was open, Jordan said, "You guys should follow me. Just don't touch anything." Jeffrey raised his hand, signaling his men to follow Jordan's lead.
When they finally reached the hall, everyone was amazed by what they saw. The Potter Mansion had always been mysterious because the hosts never entertained outsiders.
And now? A glimpse of the family's wealth was enough to blow up minds.
The hall was not only spacious, but everything in it, even a simple teacup, was priceless. Antique ornaments were casually displayed around the room. The luxury was understated but elegant all the same.
Any one of these items could be considered a rare treasure. Everyone in the group was stunned.
Jeffrey, however, was focused solely on finding the treasure.
He turned to Juan and asked, "Are you sure the treasure is hidden in this house?" "I am sure," Juan replied coolly. "The Four Great Families found the treasure. To prevent anyone from stealing it, they pooled their money, dug into the mountain, and moved the treasure to the Potter Mansion, which had the best security. The safest place is often the most dangerous place. Over the years, no one has suspected the treasure is here." Jeffrey nodded. "The Potters are known for their cunning. It's quite likely to be the case." Juan turned to Jordan. "Do you have any clues?"
"I don't." He shrugged. "My brother has always been in charge. If I was meant to know something, he would've told me. Other than that, I know nothing."
"Then we'll just have to search the house. You don't mind night? Be my guest." Jeffrey raised his hand, and his men sprang into action.
Jeffrey sat down on a sofa and mused, "I've heard about how huge the Potter Mansions. There are countless rooms. If we search like this doubt we'd find anything by noon." Juan said, "We have to try."
