---- 248. MY ARMY CAN ONLY HAVE ONE GENERAL NARRATOR Marius's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. The chilling and unbelievable scene unfolding before them was something he'd never forget. Solid, rusted, living chains slithered through the air, shooting out from the depths of the doors. A thick black mist moved within, hiding something that he was pretty sure he didn't want to see. Looking directly into the abyss beyond that entrance was almost impossible.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtYet there was a woman levitating in mid-air, facing the pressure and danger head-on Those chains wrapped around her legs and arms like supernatural shackles. The red strands of Victoria's blood wove themselves between the steel links, and the struggle began. Marius couldn't clearly see her face, but that didn't stop him from imagining it. ---- She was speaking in that sharp, cryptic tongue. They had barely taught him a single spell, and even that one was hard as hell.
But she was roaring out macabre incantations, commands that summoned death itself. The wind howled across the moor, brushing against forgotten graves that seemed to wail and cry like ghosts. Beside him, Edgar was trembling with fear, but Marius could only feel a twisted excitement that left his cock hard. The power, that intoxicating power, that calong with that female. Thunder cracked the skies, the moon disappeared into complete darkness, and then they started to emerge.
Victoria yanked at the enchanted chains, forcing the sleeping bodies to awaken. He watched the footsteps emerge from the black mist. Muddy boots dragging, tattered clothes swaying Marius's heart pounded wildly as he recognized many of those decayed and mutilated faces. They had once been warriors, the very army used by General Hagen to destroy his enemies. ---- And all it took was thinking of that man to summon him.
He saw the chains shake violently, tightening around Victoria's limbs, pulling her toward the door. She roared, her blood bursting into red threads dancing around her body, and resisted. The tug of war didn't last long. Soon, a blood-curdling war cry echoed from the underworld. An undead warrior, clad in white and black armor, leapt through the air with a massive, rusted, yet still sharp sword. Straight at Victoria.
It didn't matter how strong the blood bonds or chains were- General Hagen was not just anybody. "He's going to kill her!" Edgar screamed in panic. His brain couldn't process the fantasy-like scene he was watching. But Marius didn't respond. He waited, because something told him he was about to be surprised again. And he was right: before Hagen, with his hate-twisted face, could drive his blade through the vampire, someone blocked his path.
