Chapter 383
These people were doing whatever they wanted in my apartment building. Had | not arrived to stop them, |
might have been caught up in it too. There was no way I'd let them off so easily.
"Quintus, go get those people outside and bring them in. Make them apologize and deal with the compensation,"
I instructed.
"Yes!" he replied.
Under Quintus' threat, none of them dared to refuse. They all obediently entered the living room, lined up to
kneel and apologize to the young lady, smashing their
heads and handing over the compensation in an orderly manner.
Not long after, she had already received a hundred thousand dollars in compensation.
| could tell that her mood had brightened after she got the money. She wasn't angry anymore, but the real
was yet to come.

Shortly after Quintus had brought everyone in, the sound of Marcus' shouting cfrom the hallway. "Where's
everyone? Damn it! Didn't | tell you to leave someone patrolling the hallway and guarding the door so no one
could escape? Are you guys ignoring what | said?"
"Open the door! Letin! Open it!" Soon, he started kicking the door with all his might.
Quintus stood by the door and waited for my signal.
As the noise from the hallway grew more frantic and the kicking grew louder, | shot a look at Quintus.
With that, Quintus abruptly swung the door open.
At the stime, Marcus also kicked it open, and he stumbled into the living room. He couldn't stop himself in
time, and with a loud thud, he fell straight to the floor in a total faceplant.
The young lady and | sat on the couch, without a trace of emotion, watching him in his miserable state.
| slowly curled the corners of my mouth into a smile. "Marcus, it has been a while."
Marcus sawand immediately recognized me. "You brat! What are you doing here again?"
| smiled faintly. "What? Aren't you happy to see me?"
"Who the heck do you think you are, and why should | be happy to see you?" he asked. That was when he finally
noticed something was off.
The young lady, who should have been tied up, was sitting perfectly fine on the couch. Instead of glaring at him
with hatred, her expression was completely calm, as if she didn't care about this situation at all. She didn't even
care about him.
The situation was completely beyond what he had expected, leaving him momentarily stunned. "How did you
get in here? Where are my men?"
"Your men?" pretended that | had just recalled it and tapped my head. "Oh, | forgot to tell you. Your men al went
to the hospital to treat their injuries. Now it's just you left, and you still haven't apologized. Burry up and kneel to
apologize and pay compensation."
Marcus finally understood what | was implying and immediately shouted, "Apologize? You wish."
After saying that, he pulled out his phone and called his men.
"The number you have dialed is currently unavailable..."
After the call didn't go through, he tried calling the second person.
"The number you have dialed is currently unavailable..."
He called three people in a row, and all of their phones were turned off. He was so
frustrated that he almost threw away his phone.
Just then, | reached behind me,
pulled out a dozen phones, and tossed them onto the table. "All the numbers you want to dial are here. I've
turned them all off. You won't be able to reach anyone. There's no one else in the room. Just apologize and pay
the compensation, and we're done. Otherwise, when your men return, it'll be even more embarrassing for you to
kneel in front of them."
Seeing the phones on the table, Marcus was completely dumbfounded.
