Chapter 1719:
“Hold on a second.” Colton stepped forward at once. “We're willing to cooperate, but look at him—he’s in critical
condition and unconscious. Moving him right now could be dangerous.”
The officer studied Fabian’s crumpled form on the floor. After a moment of hesitation—and recalling his
superior’s instructions—he gave a reluctant nod. Medical care would cfirst.
As they carried Fabian out, Colton’s knees nearly buckled beneath him, a wave of lightheadedness washing over
his vision.
Luckily, the butler was close enough to catch him. “Sir!”
Colton forced his eyes open, teeth clenched. “I'm fine. | still have strength left.” With Fabian gone, he couldn't
afford to falter. If he did, the entire Garcia family would fall apart. That thought steadied him. Drawing in a sharp
breath, he pushed forward. “Pack up. Now.”
Hours later, Vernon Hernandez and Gianni Morris—heads of the Hernandez and Morris families in Pinetree City—
arrived at the Garcia Estate after receiving the news.
They stepped into the tension-filled space, glanced around, and then exchanged a silent look before approaching
Colton to offer their support. Colton cast a glance their way, offering a faint smile that didn’t quite reach his
eyes. Beneath it lingered a trace of sorrow.
“I know what my son is capable of. If no one had pushed him, he'd never have dared to provoke the Ford family.”

been nothing more than disposable pieces on someone else’s board.
Vernon and Gianni exchanged uneasy looks, their expressions stiffening with discomfort.

Gianni’s face darkened with frustration as he looked at Colton. “Mr. Garcia, please don’t think that way. We've
stood by Fabian for years. We would never set him up like that.”
“Exactly.” Vernon chimed in, nodding firmly. “Our families have always stuck together. We wouldn't let outside
manipulation tear us apart.”
Colton’s smile twisted into something colder, more hollow. With a dismissive wave, he brushed it all aside. “It
doesn’t matter. If we can’t go head-to-head, the least we can do is avoid them. Just remember the years of
friendship when it comes tto show mercy.”
Walking away was easier said than done. What they could keep—and how much—depended entirely on how
ruthless the others chose to be.
Meanwhile, over in Lyhaton, things appeared stable on the surface. But that calm was only a mask, hiding the
chaos brewing beneath.
When Carl heard about Corrine’s injury, his fury erupted. “Unbelievable! They dare pull something like this in
Lyhaton?”
