I arrive at Leo's home. Normally | would say ‘our hbut it didn’t feel that way after everything that's happened today.
1 enter the house and it's once comforting warmth has shifted to bitter coldness. It didn’t matter. | was simply here to get my things and head to
Jasmine’s. She was more than willing to letstay with her while | figure things out.
I'm sure after my refusal to apologize to Charlotte that Leo wouldn't mind my absence. | start gathering my things from our bedroom when 1 feel the front
door open. I didn’t expect him to be hso soon. I thought he'd stay by Charlotte's side - like he always does.
As | continue packing, Leo enters the room and immediately looked anxious. He grabs my hand.
“Where are you going?"
“I'm moving in with Jasmine for a bit.” | keep my head low. | knew that looking in his eyes would spark more tears.
“Can we talk about it?"

blamed you for what's happened and | apologize. | shouldn't have lost my temper and shoved you. didn’t mean
it. If you don’t want to apologize to Charlotte - I'm sure she'll understand. | can deal with the rest.” He tries
holding my hands to look into my eyes but I just stare at our hands. | was furious.
“You don’t get it. Even if you say | don’t have to apologize to Charlotte, you still don’t believe me.
You believe that | hurt her intentionally. You think differently ofwhen it comes to her.”
| saw Leonardo’s expression and it was speechless.
“You don’t believe me..” | saw this as | slowly remove my hands from his. | turn back to my bags - knowing what
| needed to say next.
“I want a divorce.” My hands start shaking from the pain I felt in that moment.
| turn to make sure Leo had heardand his expression toldthis was the last thing he expected. He was in
shock.
| take my wedding ring off, lift his hand gently and place inside of his palm.
| finish my packing and bring my belongings to the taxi awaitingdownstairs. As | filled the taxi with my last
bag, I look up at our bedroom window. Leonardo is standing there - watching.
