“We're heading out of town tomorrow, not sure when we'll be back,” Lena added, knowing Jessica like the back
of her hand and feeling at ease now that she trusted Melvin. “Take good care of her.”
“I will,” Melvin said sincerely.
Without wasting a second, Jessica got herself ready and followed him out. Melvin had tried to say no, but she
was relentless.
