Chapter 398

| sneered. "As if he has the power to preventfrom graduating. You guys are overestimating him! I'm going to

talk to him!"

| was fine with him trying to mess with me, but dragging my friends into this? Hell no!

I shook off their hands and stormed toward the teachers’ office.

Worried about me, Benjamin and Liam had no choice but to follow me.

| headed straight to the third floor and stopped outside Roger's office. | had just raised my hand to knock when

another lecturer opened the door and stepped out. "Who are you guys looking for?" An unfamiliar but friendly-

looking lecturer asked.

Smiling, he repeated, "Who are you guys looking for?"

"We're here for Roger Hopkins!" | answered bluntly.

The lecturer seemed surprised. He probably never expected a student to address

a lecturer by their full name. "Mr. Hopkins is in his office."

He stepped aside but didn't leave. He likely sensed we were here to confront Roger and decided to stick around.

Well, I didn't care about that.

| entered the office and immediately spotted Roger sitting at his desk, happily sipping tea.

He saw us as well and frowned. "Is there something you need from me?"

"Of course there is!" | marched forward and growled, "I have two questions for you, Mr. Hopkins. First, why did

you markas zero when | didn't even take the quiz?"

Roger casually took a sip, unfazed by my anger. It was as if he'd expectedto confront him about this.

"I know that you didn't take the quiz. After all, you were in class but left without answering the questions. So,

there's nothing wrong with giving you a zero," he drawled.

"Without answering the questions? | didn't write anything because |

disagreed with your way of and refused to take the test!" | snapped. "Besides, I'd

ady mat

it clear that | wouldn't attend your lectures anymore. What right do you have to grade me?"

The other lecturers in the office were stunned to hear that and exchanged surprised glances.

"You there. Mr. Hopkins teaches your core subjects. You won't earn your credits if you don't attend his classes,

which means you won't be able to graduate.”

| retorted cooly, "I chere for the learning experience. | couldn't care less about whether I get to graduate.

However, it makessick to respect someone like him, who

doesn't deserve his positiuate.

as my lecturer and leads students astray."

There was a screech as Roger sprung to his feet, glaring at me. "Watch your tongue, William White What do you

mean | don't deserve my position? I've taught countless students who've gone on to reach great heights, and

none of them have ever accusedof leading them astray!"

He snapped, "Why am | suddenly the bad guy when it comes to you? Did it ever occur to you that you're the

reason | don't like you?"

Unfazed by his outburst, | raised my voice and countered back. "Oh, so you admit you have something against

me? What a joke. | have a question for all the lecturers here. Is it acceptable for a lecturer to be biased against a

student?"

| expected the other lecturers to voice their opinions objectively, but to my dismay, they all defended Roger.

"You can't be serious? What's wrong with a lecturer not liking a student who misbehaves and doesn't cooperate

in class? We're humans, too!"

"Just because lecturers are responsible for teaching and contributing to society doesn't mean we don't have

emotions! We're still ordinary employees. No lecturer would like a student who disrespected them."

Hearing this, Roger grew smug.

Lifting his chin, he sneered, "William, everyone here knows what kind of person you are. Frankly, you should be

grateful you're even here!"
