Chapter 525:
Stella's reaction was becoming more pronounced. On this day, RK, who had returned unexpectedly, noticed her.
“Are you pregnant?” RK recalled that Aunt Maya had inadvertently mentioned that Stella had been vomiting for
the past few days, but Stella had insisted she wasn’t pregnant, attributing her condition to an upset stomach.
However, even if her stomach was upset, she shouldn't have been vomiting for a week.
Stella remained silent, simply looking at RK’s expression. She wanted to gauge his reaction upon learning that
she was pregnant.
RK observed Stella's silence and confirmed his suspicions.
“Since you're pregnant, you should take a good rest at home. You don’t need to work at the company.” RK hadn't
expected to be a father. “How long has it been?”
“Five weeks.”
“You conceived before you fell into the sea?” RK recalled that day and felt a sudden surge of fear. If the child had
been lost, he would be devastated.
“You should go to the hospital when you have time. After all, you fell into the sea that day and had a high fever.
It's better to get checked out.”
Stella didn’t expect RK to accept the news so readily and even suggest she get a check-up.
She nodded. Looking at RK’s expressionless face, she couldn't tell if he was happy or indifferent. Perhaps he felt
no attachment to the baby and simply wanted her to keep it.
RK went to the study, still contemplating the recent events.

He had never specifically asked Stella to have a baby. In the past, he thought that if Stella becpregnant, it

However, after reflecting on what had happened recently, he couldn't help but think of Sophia. Suddenly, he was
unsure whether he should welcthis child or not.
The ringing of the phone jolted RK from his thoughts.
Seeing the unfamiliar number, he answered, “Hello!”
“RK, Mr. Kingston.” A man’s voice cthrough, confusing RK.
“Who is it?”
“I wonder if Mr. Kingston is interested in the incident involving Mrs. RK and the eldest daughter of the Richard
family?” The man on the other end fiddled with something in his hand, contemplating RK’s reaction.
He hadn't mentioned it earlier because he wanted to see how RK would respond. To his surprise, RK hadn't acted
at all.
“Oh... no. He did it. He just sent Sophia away and stayed with her for a while.”
Originally, this matter had nothing to do with him. However, that day, he and Damien had inadvertently
discussed it. Who would have known that Damien would react so strongly that he nearly flew back to the
country?
Fortunately, he had managed to stop Damien in time.
After Damien praised RK’s wife, he decided to call RK.
He hadn't expected Damien to have feelings for RK’s wife.
“What are you trying to say?” RK didn’t expect the man to bring up Stella and Sophia's fall into the water.
“I wonder who pushed her into the water, President Kingston?” Instead of answering RK’s question, the man
posed one of his own.
He had thought that RK would believe Stella’s version of events. But who would have known that Damien would
suggest RK was more inclined to trust Sophia than Stella? It was fortunate that he didn’t blStella.
“What do you know? If you have something to say, just say it.” RK struggled to understand the man on the other
end of the line.
“I think you must have believed what Miss Richard said. You didn’t hear any explanation from her, did you?”
Reflecting on the certain look in that guy’s eyes, RK began to trust what he said. But when he thought of it, he
realized that the guy had implied that Stella was the woman he cared for. It struck him as ridiculous that he had
developed feelings for his cousin's wife.
“Sir, please get to the point. | don’t have tfor these trivial matters.” RK stood by the bed, gazing out at the
night sky. He recalled what Sophia had said—hadn’t she been dragged into the sea by Stella?
“Since you don’t want to hear it, go ask your wife. However, | doubt your wife will tell you about this matter. If
you can’t figure it out, I'd be happy to assist you, haha.” The man laughed and hung up.
RK held his phone, uncertain if he should confront Stella.
After pondering for a moment, RK exited the study and returned to the bedroom.
When he entered, he found Stella sitting on the bed, reading a book.
RK strode into the room and sat down beside her. “What happened that day?”
Stella was confused by RK'’s question. “That day? What happened?”
“It was on the yacht that day.” RK frowned, studying Stella closely.
“Oh, nothing happened.” Stella smiled at RK, turning her attention back to the book. She was still reflecting on
that day's events...
“Stella, | can find out if you don’t tell me. You'd better tell me.” RK hadn't expected Stella to ignore him. She
seemed intent on reading, pretending he wasn't there.
RK watched her in silence, unsure of what to say. Eventually, he turned and left the bedroom.
RK returned to his study, pulled out his phone, and dialed the strange number that had just called him. “It seems
that Mrs. RK really doesn’t want to tell Mr. Kingston.” The man chuckled upon receiving the call.
“What do you want?”
“President Kingston, you think too highly of me. I just want to tell you the truth.”
“How would | know if what you're saying is true?” RK frowned.
“After | tell you, whether it’s real or not, you can judge for yourself.”
“Go ahead.”
Frowning, RK listened as the man finished speaking. He found it hard to believe that Sophia could act so
maliciously, but he couldn’t dismiss the man’s words either.
“President Kingston... Whether it’s true or false depends on whom you choose to trust...” The man hung up.
RK sat in his chair, contemplating the implications of the conversation. He didn’t believe that the kind-hearted
Sophia would act in such a way.
As he recalled the day Stella fell into the sea, was pregnant, and had a high fever... he considered that the child
hadn’t been lost, meaning it was resilient.
However, thinking of Sophia, who cherished the bracelet that Stella had given her, he couldn't fathom that they
would push each other into the water, disregarding their sisterly bond.
That night, RK pondered deeply, unable to sleep until dawn. He remained in the study, consumed by his
thoughts.
