Chapter 462
Violet shook her head. "He didn't mention a specific time, but he seemed to have a great impression of me. |
think it will happen soon."
"Make sure you present yourself well when the tcomes," Illeana advised.
"Don't worry," Violet replied with a confident smile. "I know exactly what to do." Ileana nodded, her eyes
gleaming with calculation. "That's good to hear."
Meanwhile, somewhere else.
Nanson was in high spirits. On his way home, he picked up a fried chicken and an ice-cold soda, feeling quite
pleased with himself.
Just as he was approaching the apartment building, Carole returned from a nearby restaurant.
"Hey, sis!" Nanson greeted her with a cheerful hum.
Carole noticed the sparkle in Nanson's eyes. "Something good happened, didn't it?"
Nanson pretended to be mysterious. "Take a guess, sis."
"Did you land a big contract?" Carole ventured, glancing at him.

"Nope," Nanson shook his head.
Carole looked at him thoughtfully. "Did you win the lottery?"
As they continued chatting and walking, they soon reached their apartment door. Nanson knocked, chuckling,
"Wrong again. | haven't bought a lottery ticket in ages! Con, sis, one more guess."
Nanson used to dream of striking it rich overnight and often bought lottery tickets. But since he took over
QuickSend Parcels, he had focused all his energy on the business and stopped gambling on luck.
If it wasn't those, could it be...
Carole squinted at him. "You didn't... start dating someone, did you?"
"Got it in one, sis!" Nanson laughed. "You're as sharp as ever!"
Just then, Little White opened the door from inside.
Nanson handed him his shoes.
After changing into slippers, Carole turned to Nanson, a bit incredulous. "Really? You actually found a girlfriend?"
After what happened with Ileana, Carole thought it would take Nanson a while to move on from that relationship.
She hadn't expected it to happen so soon.
"Yep, really did!" Nanson nodded enthusiastically.
Carole immediately asked, "Where's she from? How old is she? What does she do for a living?"
As his sister, Carole was most concerned about Nanson's future happiness. Hearing this news, she was genuinely
happy for him.
Nanson set the fried chicken on the table. "She's from Cloudcrest, 28 years old, and she's a dance teacher."
"A teacher, huh! Teachers are nurturing, understanding, real pillars of the community," Carole remarked. "How
long have you been seeing each other? Have you met her family yet?"
Nanson replied, "We've known each other for almost three months. We only made
it official today. She's a really down-to-earth girl."
Just then, Anthea wandered in from the other room, munching on a popsicle.
"Mom, Uncle, what are you talking about?"
Carole grinned. "Annie, your uncle found you an aunt!"
"An aunt?" Anthea raised an eyebrow. "For real?"
Nanson handed her a drumstick. "Absolutely real! How could | joke about something like this?"
"Uncle, how long have you known her?"
Nanson laughed. "You two sure love this question. We've been acquainted for almost three months."
Anthea frowned a little. "You've only known each other for less than three months and you're already serious?
Uncle you've been burned once before; make sure you keep your eyes open this time."
The incident with Illeana had left Nanson heartbroken for quite stime. Now, after just three months, could he
really know her background well enough? What if he was deceived again?
"Don't worry, my dear niece. This time, | know I'm not wrong!" Nanson assured.
"Uncle, bad people don't have 'bad' written on their foreheads," Anthea pointed out, taking a bite of the
drumstick and placing her popsicle casually on the table.
Carole chimed in, "Annie makes a good point. Speople hide their true intentions very well. So, how did you
two meet?"
Nanson recounted the story of meeting Violet, thumping his chest. "Sis, Annie, just trust me! Even though Violet

you think! Once you meet you'll see. I'm sure you't like her right away! Violet has this warm, welcoming aura
about her."
Nanson was convinced that Violet wasn't driven by greed or deceit.
