Chapter 838 Breathing Again
Hayley’s POV:
Right now, | didn’t feel any personal hatred toward her.
| was just a doctor, desperate to save my patient!

Celine was instantly intimidated by me. All her arrogance vanished, and | saw a hint of fear in her eyes.
She moved out of my way, still trying to act tough. “If anything happens to my dad, | swear | won't let you get
away with it!”
“You won't get the chance!”
I shot her a dismissive look and walked into the room.
Most people stepped out so | could work, leaving only the Omega house staff, Tessa, and a few of Gavin's close
friends in the room.
| set my supplies on the nightstand. After disinfecting the tubing and knife again, | cut it into one long piece and
one short piece.
| pushed one end of the long tube down into a half-full bottle of whiskey until it touched the bottom. I inserted
the short tube just a little way into the bottle’s mouth, then sealed the gaps
with tape.
Once everything was ready, | picked up the fruit knife and unbuttoned Gavin's shirt.
| made a small incision below his left chest, right under the second rib, and slid the end of the long tube into his

Almost immediately, bubbles began to rise from the end of the tube inside the whiskey bottle.
Within half a minute, Gavin suddenly took a deep breath. He wasn’t awake yet, but he was breathing again.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
“That's incredible! | can’t believe a low-ranking Omega like you knows medicine this well! How did you do it?”
one of Gavin's buddies asked excitedly.
| let out a long breath and explained, “Until the injury is fixed, air keeps leaking into the chest cavity and building
up. The tube lets the trapped air escape, and the alcohol blocks air from getting back in. It's just a simple one-
way valve.”

Celine’s POV:
| stood by the door, watching every move Hayley made.
| couldn’t believe she was actually this skilled, especially for a lowly Omega!
And | never expected her to really save my dad.
| stared at her, feeling frustrated and conflicted.
What kind of person was Hayley, anyway? Was she really as awful as Freya said?
Maybe she has shidden motive for all this?
Yes! She’s the person | hate most-I can’t let myself go soft on her!
At least my dad was alive now, so | didn’t have to worry about losing him.
That meant | didn’t have to be afraid of Hayley anymore.
| pulled myself together and snapped at her, “This is the only kind of thing you're good for- nothing special.
“Since you're done with the first aid, get out and stay away from my dad! Don’t let your bad luck rub off on
him!”
This was a private room, not the living room-there weren't a bunch of nosy guests around. | could do whatever |
wanted to her here.
Only the clueless guests in the living room had been fooled by her.
They even scoldedbecause of her, a worthless Omega!
The thought madewant to shift into my wolf form right now and tear out her throat!
Now that Dad wasn’t dead, real doctors would take care of him.
If I didn’t kick Hayley out, she'd just hang around and wait for Dad to wake up, hoping he’d thank her and treat
her like a hero, stealing my spotlight!
“Celine, that’s no way to talk-she just saved your dad's life!” Dad's friends actually stood Hayley!

“That's right, let her stay until the ambulance gets here.”
What a bunch of idiots. They were all fooled by Hayley’s fake kindness.

| crossed my arms and glared at them coldly. “Don’t think | don’t know. You're all just waiting
my dad to die so you can snatch his business. Stop pretending to be loyal friends!”

“You-you can't say things like that!”
“Fine, we'll mind our own business. We're leaving!”
“Let's go!”
The guys stormed out, slamming the door behind them.
With them gone, a wave of relief.
Now it was just Hayley, that wretched girl. All the humiliation I'd suffered outside was her fault!
Now | had the chance to pay her back all at once!
| narrowed my eyes, smirked, then lunged at her, raising my hand to slap her across the face!
But before | could land the blow, a strong, masculine hand grabbed my wrist, holding it tight so | couldn’t move
